Hi, I'm Prashant — founder of Unbuilt Lab. I've been building SaaS products for the last 15 years, mostly as a solo or two-person team. My focus has consistently been on one question: how do you know what to build before you spend months building it?
Unbuilt Lab is my answer. It continuously scans 12+ public data sources — Reddit, Quora, Google Trends, GitHub Issues, Stack Overflow, Product Hunt, Hacker News, Indie Hackers, Y Combinator forums, Upwork RFPs, App Store and Play Store reviews — and surfaces validated startup ideas with a 6-dimension score covering demand, gap, trend, competition, monetization, and feasibility. Founders use it to compare ten ideas in an afternoon instead of falling in love with the first one they thought of in the shower.
Most of what I write here comes from that work. I dig into ideas in the catalog, talk to founders building in adjacent spaces, and turn what I learn into guides for the eight founder types I built the product for: freelancers, side-hustlers, first-time founders, indie hackers, agency owners, no-code builders, career switchers, and venture-backed scouts.

How I write
Every post on this blog is grounded in real public-data evidence — the actual Reddit threads, Quora questions, GitHub issues that surfaced the demand. If a quote is in the body, it's followed by an inline link to its source. If a number is cited, it came from the idea's evidence snapshot, not from a generative pull. I don't fabricate statistics. I don't invent "X is the new Y" headlines. Founders deserve the same epistemic standard their investors get.
If you want to get in touch, the fastest way is LinkedIn DM. For product-specific questions, hello@unbuiltlab.com always reaches me.
