By downloading, installing, or using Unbuilt Lab ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction to use this service.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
Subscriptions are billed through Google Play Store or Apple App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by the respective platform.
Unbuilt Lab is an opportunity-discovery and research tool. It is not a validation service, a market-research consultancy, a financial or investment advisor, a legal advisor, or a professional services firm. Deliverables (Idea Reports, Blueprint Packs, Opportunity Briefs, Market & Opportunity Reports, and any scores, market sizings, or recommendations) are provided as research artifacts and as a funnel input to your own validation process. Unbuilt Lab is intended for your personal research and as input to your own validation work — it is not intended to substitute for customer discovery, customer interviews, paid pilots, pre-orders, professional due diligence, or any other first-party validation activity, which remain your sole responsibility. By using the service you acknowledge that you have read and accept the full Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms.
Unbuilt Lab's brand, UI, algorithms, scoring systems, prompts, and proprietary scraping/processing pipelines are our intellectual property. Ideas, opportunities, and Blueprints generated by Unbuilt Lab are not exclusively yours and may be shown, sold, or licensed to other users. We make no representation that any idea, name, design, or piece of code is original, novel, patentable, copyrightable, trademark-clear, or free from third-party intellectual-property or regulatory claims; clearance is your sole responsibility.
The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, reliability, or that scores or trend predictions will hold true. AI-generated content may contain errors, hallucinations, or fabricated citations and must be independently verified before use. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. See the full Disclaimer for the complete list of warranties expressly excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unbuilt Lab, The Code Smith, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, licensors, and suppliers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost runway, lost opportunity cost, business interruption, reputational harm, regulatory penalties, IP infringement claims, or data loss — arising out of or related to the service or any reliance on its content, regardless of legal theory. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (i) the amount you paid to Unbuilt Lab in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (ii) USD $50.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Unbuilt Lab, The Code Smith, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, licensors, and suppliers from and against any third-party claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your use of the service; (b) any business, product, or service you build using ideas, names, designs, code, or recommendations surfaced by Unbuilt Lab; or (c) your breach of these Terms or the Disclaimer.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. Sections 5 (Nature of Service), 7 (IP), 8 (Warranties), 9 (Liability & Indemnification), and the full Disclaimer survive termination.
Any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to your use of Unbuilt Lab or these Terms must be filed within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues; otherwise the claim is permanently barred. This shortened limitation period applies to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Unbuilt Lab is not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, pandemic, labor disputes, internet or telecommunications outages, third-party API or model-provider outages (including but not limited to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, AWS, Google Play, or Apple App Store outages or policy changes), data-center failures, or denial-of-service attacks.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except that mandatory consumer-protection laws of your home jurisdiction continue to apply where required. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Pune, Maharashtra, India, unless mandatory law requires otherwise. You and Unbuilt Lab each agree to waive any right to a jury trial and any right to participate in a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect, and the unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intent.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights or obligations under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms freely, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Disclaimer (each incorporated by reference), constitute the entire agreement between you and Unbuilt Lab regarding the service and supersede any prior or contemporaneous communications, proposals, or agreements.
We may update these Terms with at least 30 days' notice to active users. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
